A new presentation in the Magritte Museum

In the context of our collaboration with national and international museums, The Royal Museums of Fine Arts of Belgium accepted to lend several works of René Magritte to the travelling exhibition Magritte : The Mystery of the Ordinary, 1926–1938. From August 2013 to October 2014, this major travelling exhibition will be shown at MoMA in New York, the Menil Foundation of Houston and the Art Institute of Chicago.

A selection of surrealist masterpieces from our collection balance the presentation of Magritte’s astonishing art at the  MuséeMagritteMuseum. Paintings by Giorgio de Chirico, Max Ernst, Joan Miró, Yves Tanguy and Paul Delvaux position Magritte within the context of international Surrealism.
